Appointments

Larchmont Pediatrics takes pride in making every effort to be available and satisfy our patient’s needs. Please call our office to schedule any appointments and Florence will accommodate your desired time to the best of her ability. If you are running late or need to reschedule, please contact our office as soon as possible. Sundays, holidays and after hours Dr. Hartz is always available to answer calls.  If you call the office you will be directed to the answering service- do not leave a message on the answering machine. If you call the answering service you will be asked to give your name, phone number and reason for your call. Dr. Hartz will call you back within 15-20 minutes. If you do not get a call back, call the answering service again. If Dr. Hartz is on vacation, the office is still open and Florence can reach Dr. Hartz to discuss any urgent matters. Dr. Hartz always has back-up coverage by Board Certified pediatricians, if needed.

Insurance and Billing

We currently accept the following insurance plans:

• Aetna
• Blue Cross/ Blue Shield
• CIGNA
• Oxford (except Charter/Core)
• United Health Care (except Child Health Plus/ Community Plan/ Essential Plan)

Please notify us of any changes in your insurance. It is imperative that you always check that Dr. Hartz is listed as a primary care provider on your individual plan. If your plan requires that you designate a specific doctor, please do so prior to your visit. It is important to know the specifics of your plan, especially in regards to coverage for well check-ups, as some plans may limit visits, especially from birth -2 years. Dr. Hartz will work with individual families to modify well checkup visits to be compliant with your plan.

Payment Options

We accept checks or cash. Co-pays are expected at the time of visit. We appreciate that there may be unexpected circumstances that affect your financial situation and we are more than willing to work out a payment plan. Do not hesitate to discuss this with Dr. Hartz or Florence.
